The seaside

The seaside

This piece of art was created based on my memories of growing up in Folkestone. A seaside town in Kent. A vibrant and beautifully diverse community, the indigo violet sky descending on a rough beach and crashing blue waves always made me feel calm and content. Drawing inspiration from that feeling and hoping to convey it to others.

About the Artist

Welcome to Psychopomp Designs, where the ethereal meets the gothic. I'm a UK-based artist and writer with a passion for exploring the darker, more mysterious aspects of existence through art and storytelling.

My work draws inspiration from Victorian gothic aesthetics, mythology, occult symbolism, and the liminal spaces between worlds. Each piece is a meditation on themes of transformation, death, rebirth, and the beautiful darkness that exists within us all.

Whether through digital illustration, traditional media, or the written word, I aim to create experiences that resonate with those who find beauty in the shadows and solace in the night.

My autistic experience in a SEN school: where my past met my art.

What weighed on me most was the future. I knew the pupils I supported would one day enter a workforce that still treats autistic people as problems to manage rather than humans to understand.
