It’s sad when things don’t go well, especially when you’re pouring so much of yourself into it. You start to wonder if you’re doing something wrong, or if your art just isn’t reaching the people who would love it.

What art means to me

My autistic experience in a SEN school: where my past met my art.

What weighed on me most was the future. I knew the pupils I supported would one day enter a workforce that still treats autistic people as problems to manage rather than humans to understand.

Who am I?

I am an artist and advocate whose work is shaped by a life lived at the edges when growing up disabled, surviving repeated homelessness, and navigating chronic illness, dyslexia, and the prejudice that comes with all of it.
