A collection of shadows and light
I continued…
I added phosphorescent and fluorescent paint to the raven and skull. Adding smoke and a halo around the figures.
The raven
I created this for my brother who requested a skull and raven drawing for a possible new tattoo, in the process I chose to recreate the piece as a painting for him. I enjoyed the process of using negative space to create the raven. I haven’t painted a skull before and struggled to find the right balance of shape and colour. I found the teeth to be a particular problem and settled for the illusion of teeth. Hopefully in the future and with a little practice I can return to this painting to correct my mistakes.
My own touch
To help spread the word I added a version of my business cards and attached them to every children’s gift box.
The completed web.
I finished a large web using fine wire and fairy lights. With a crystal spider. The perfect sun catcher.
Hand painted neon sign
This adorable neon sign was hand painted for market stalls and fairs. I used acrylics and a fine brush.
